Often within a couple of days. The online portion takes most people under an hour, and the in-person skills session is 15 or 30 minutes depending on whether you need First Aid as well. The limit is usually scheduling, not the course.

You get a refresher with the instructor first, then you demonstrate the skills: compressions, rescue breaths, AED use and choking response on adult, child and infant manikins. It is a check that you can do it, not a test designed to catch you out.

Yes, for an additional fee we can come to your location rather than you coming to Herndon.

That is not really how it works. The instructor coaches you through it. If something is not right, you practise it until it is.

No. Enroll in the course, complete the online portion, and turn up. Manikins, AED trainers and all equipment are provided.

Something you can kneel comfortably in. CPR is done on the floor, so trousers you do not mind kneeling in are a better idea than a skirt or a suit.

Very likely, yes. Tell us in advance what to expect and the instructor will adapt the assessment where the standards allow. It is much better to raise it beforehand than on the day.

Usually a few days, sometimes sooner. Because these are 1-on-1 sessions rather than a fixed class calendar, we can often fit you in quickly. Ask, even if your deadline is tight.

Either. Our instructors travel to workplaces, schools, places of worship and community groups throughout Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William and Arlington counties. If you would rather come to us, we host groups at the Herndon training center.
